Alex Arseneau Alex Arseneau
Rural Programs and Membership Engagement Coordinator
Alex Arseneau is a queer Francophone Acadian from the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik First Nations – also known as New-Brunswick.
Passionate about creating positive social change through innovative and inclusive societal projects, he has spearheaded many initiatives in his community, such as an urban fruit forest and a collective garden. He has also helped organize many environmental movements, such as climate protests and active transportation advocacy.
Being from a rural area, he feels that queer identity and expression should also be rooted locally for rural folk and hopes to create more awareness and resources around this lesser known queer reality.
