Reports to: Manager of Public Affairs and Communications
Hours & Term: 10 week contract; 37.5 hours per week
Place of Work: Working remotely within Canada (stable reliable internet connection required)
Salary & Benefits: Hourly rate of $19.00 with dental and health benefits
Vacation: 1 week paid time off (prorated on contract length), plus 1.5 sick days per month
Languages required: English. Working written French and other languages (including Indigenous languages) is an asset.

The Enchanté Network (TEN) is the largest network of 2SLGBTQI+ organizations in Canada. We connect, support and advocate for more than 200 independent 2SLGBTQI+ organizations. Our network spans every province and territory and our members include 2 Spirit societies, pride centers, HIV/AIDS organizations, trans collectives, and countless other essential, frontline organizations.

Job Summary
The Communications Assistant will provide administrative and content creation support to the Communications Coordinator in executing communications materials. They will be supporting the writing and editing of a variety of different content for communications and marketing efforts, triaging external requests for communications, and curating content for communications channels. Additionally, they will support the creation of communications plans and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and content creation support to the Communications Coordinator
- Assist in the creation and execution of communications plans, strategies, and tactics
- Perform research to support communications products, including academic, community and media sources
- Support in writing and formatting a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, campaigns and documents
- Curate and identify content for communications channels
- Schedule or edit content for the network’s communications channels, as needed
- Support in tracking KPIs and other metrics

Such other duties as TEN may reasonably assign to you from time to time
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field, or equivalent, demonstrated experience
- Strong creative and analytical skills
- Effective written skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge in content creation, social media platforms, communications, research, writing, or marketing
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Experience with Google Suite, social media platforms,
- Experience with Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with data management tools and techniques
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
