Meet the Speakers

Tyler Boyce
Tyler Boyce is the Executive Director of The Enchanté Network, Canada’s largest and leading national association of 2SLGBTQI+ organizations, an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, where he teaches deconstruction of racism in the law, and Owner of Nonprofit Exponential, a national consulting firm on a mission to support small and medium nonprofit organizations to deepen their impact, without the burnout. He is a leading Black queer activist and a recurring voice in Canadian and American media on queer and trans rights, anti-racism movements, and criminal justice reform. For nearly 15 years, Tyler has supported thousands of activists and hundreds of progressive organizations to deepen their impact and put human rights back at the centre of public policy.

Colin Druhan
Colin Druhan is Executive Director of Pride at Work Canada, a national nonprofit that drives positive employment outcomes for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. He has been at the helm of the organization since 2014, steering it through significant growth. A champion for community-led initiatives, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which funds grassroots efforts to fight HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Formerly the President of Volunteer Toronto, Canada’s largest volunteer centre, Colin is committed to public service. In 2020 he was named a DiverseCity Fellow by CivicAction, a recognition that underscores his dedication to inclusive civic engagement. Originally from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Colin earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from NSCAD University in Halifax. He supplemented his skills through executive education programs at the Rotman School of Management and Cornell University. In 2020 he completed the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management program at Harvard Business School.

Beth Jordan
Beth Jordan is a Black queer femme and is one of the founders and a Co-CEO of There Management Consulting Inc. With over 25 years of leadership experience, she is a sought-after management consultant, strategist, facilitator and speaker, who is recognized for her ability to effectively lead organizations and large groups to an understanding and achievement of their common goals. She is a strategic thinker and skilled organizational developer who has collaborated and consulted with local, provincial, national and international non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) on a range of organizational development and equality rights issues. Beth has successfully secured over $15 million in major capital and service expansion funds for her clients. She received honourary credentials from George Brown College in 2021, is the recipient of the 2005 YWCA Toronto Women of Distinction Award for Social Justice and the 2006 Premiers Award. Beth currently sits on the board of Inter Pares, a Canadian social justice organization working in Canada and around the world to support people’s struggles for peace, justice, and equality.

Leticia Ama Deawuo
Ama seasoned community and nonprofit leader with over 18 years of experience in driving local and international food justice and food sovereignty through community engagement. Demonstrated expertise in strategic problem-solving, organizational leadership, and cultivating partnerships across diverse stakeholders. Formerly served as Executive Director of SeedChange, advocating for small-scale farmers in Canada and worldwide. Led groundbreaking initiatives as Director of Black Creek Community Farm to enhance food access and justice in Toronto’s Jane and Finch neighborhood. Leveraging a unique background rooted in a family tradition of small-scale farming in Ghana and deep ties to the Jane and Finch community. Highly sought-after speaker and thought leader, sharing insights on food sovereignty, agroecology, and social justice through media appearances, panel discussions, keynote addresses, and academic lectures. Master’s degree research at York University focused on the transformative potential of decolonization and traditional knowledge in reshaping our food and environmental practices
