He/him

Tyler is a trailblazing human rights activist, professor and small business owner. He currently serves as Executive Director of The Enchanté Network, Canada’s largest and leading national association of 2SLGBTQI+ organizations; he is owner of Nonprofit Exponential, a national consulting firm on a mission to support small and medium nonprofit organizations to deepen their impact, without the burnout; and he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law where he teaches deconstruction of racism in the law.

Tyler is a leading advocate for queer and trans rights, anti-racism movements, and criminal justice reform. For nearly 15 years, Tyler has challenged governments, unions, and corporations to implement systems change initiatives to create a more free and equitable world – a world he knows is possible. He regularly advocates for 2SLGBTQI+ inclusion, anti-racism strategies and social development in the media, mobilizes progressive coalitions of leaders across the country and engages with elected officials to put human rights at the centre of public policy.

Tyler has represented Canada at the 74th, 75th, and 76th Sessions of the United Nations General Assembly and Permanent Forums for People of African Descent. He was named a “Young Impact Leader To Watch” by Future of Good, an “Emerging Social Impact Leader” by The Peak, and a runner-up for the Jack Layton Progress Prize by the Broadbent Institute.
